Window Replacement Contractor Software in Colorado
A window job is never one window. It's eighteen openings, four sizes, two grid patterns, a bay that needs a site measure, and a homeowner who keeps asking about U-factor. ExteriorPro lets you build the estimate room by room, lock in the spec sheet the manufacturer needs, track lead times when the product's on backorder, and keep the install crew from showing up with the wrong brickmould. Everything tied to the project so the sales rep and the install lead aren't on different pages.
Colorado window shops run tight margins and long lead times. ExteriorPro keeps the opening list tied to the order tied to the install date, so nothing shows up wrong on install day.
From $199/month per location. No credit card required to start.

Windows are different at a mile up. A sealed double-pane unit is built at the factory's air pressure. At 5,280 feet the outside pressure is lower, so the gas inside pushes the panes outward, stresses the seals, and can bow or break the glass. The industry rule is that units installed above about 5,000 feet get capillary tubes to let the pressure equalize, which covers nearly the whole Denver metro. An open tube also lets argon leak out over time, so a Denver window is either air-filled with tubes or built and balanced for altitude at the factory. A window company here orders high-altitude glass and can explain to a customer why it costs more.
Both numbers on the label matter. The U-factor sells in January, when the wind comes down off the foothills, and the solar heat gain coefficient sells in July, when the afternoon sun at altitude is stronger than the thermometer suggests. A west-facing wall of glass in Parker or Castle Rock is a heat problem without the right coating.
Hail sells windows too. The storm that crossed the west side of Denver on May 8, 2017 did $2.3 billion in insured damage, and cracked panes and broken seals on the windward side were part of it. A window company that documents them well ends up on a lot of claims. Colorado's storm-contract law applies to roofing only, so a window job on a claim runs on ordinary contract rules.
The housing stock splits by age. Highlands Ranch, Parker, Aurora, and Thornton are 1990s and 2000s houses with builder-grade vinyl that is fogging and sticking, and that replacement wave is well under way. Denver's bungalow neighborhoods are older, with original wood double-hungs and openings that need a careful measure. There is no state license, so Denver, Aurora, and the Pikes Peak Regional Building Department license installers on their own terms. Dry cold makes winter installs workable, and custom windows run four to eight weeks from order to delivery.
