Arizona is two climates and two window specs. Phoenix and Tucson sit in the ENERGY STAR Southern zone, where a window has to carry a U-factor of 0.32 or lower and a solar heat gain coefficient of 0.23 or lower, and the second number is the whole sale. The sun is the bill. Arizona's storm-repair contract law gives the owner 72 hours to cancel after the insurer denies the claim, and four business days to cancel for any reason.

Any job of $1,000 or more, or any job that needs a permit, takes the license, with a bond that scales with volume and the Residential Contractors' Recovery Fund behind it, which pays a homeowner up to $30,000 when a licensed contractor fails. The contract carries the contractor's name, address, and license number, the job address, a description of the work, the estimated completion date, and the total price with tax, and a sale made in the home can be cancelled until midnight of the third business day.
