New Orleans gets more than 62 inches of rain a year, more than any big city in the country except Miami, and it gets it in downpours, with 23 days a year of an inch or more. A company that also does roofing needs the Residential Roofing classification that came in on January 1, 2026, and stays out of the claims handling that the 2025 law took away from roofers.
